IS the rebooted (REHASHED) Star Trek film series the WORST and MOST MISCAST of ALL-TIME?...

Much as I loath the JJ Abrams movies (Beyond I liked), the casting was never an issue for me. I wasn't initially too keen on Simon Pegg as Scotty, but he grew on me. And Pine nailed Kirk in Beyond.

The writing is where everything went wrong. Horribly, horribly wrong.
