Behind on Hollywood Babble-on listening to last weeks and they brought her up. They said they went interviewed 70+ directors and chose her. When Kevin said he was heartened that there was 70 female directors to go through. Ralph said they interviewed men and women. So seems like they were going for the best director not just female director. Naah, MCU Dictator Kevin Feige already decided before the interview process that they would only hire a female director. They just brought in men for interviews just for show, but they already decided before the interview process that none of the male directors would be hired. It's similar to the NFL a couple decades ago. All the head coaches were Caucasian so the NFL implemented a policy in which teams had to interview at least 1 minority candidate for a head coaching vacancy. But that was all for show. Teams already knew who they wanted to hire before any interviews and would just bring in a minority candidate for show just to say that they interviewed a minority candidate, but that minority candidate was never going to be hired. |
