Funnily enough, when Lallana won the award I went onto a Liverpool fans forum because I suspected some shenanigans were going on. I didn't find evidence of this, but what I did find is that even Liverpool fans are split on Lallana... right down the middle. He's a one paced shit pony.

He needs a rocket up his arse and we shouldn't be accepting this mediocrity. It is hard to believe that guys like Matt Le Tissier struggled to even get into the squad, and today, players like Lallana walk into the first XI. Le Tissier had more flair in his foreskin than Lallana could ever have in a 100 lifetimes. He is everything that is wrong with the current bunch of players and he is going to be hitting 30 next May, he is not going to turn into a Del Piero or even a David Platt. An Andy Sinton maybe.

I think you are being a little bit harsh on Lallana - however even though his numbers have improved - I want more from an england player - If you are going to be a regukar you need that x factor.
Alli has it - he has the ronaldo/zlatan ability of the mark to get to the ball before all others - that instinctive and natural raw srength - like he sees things slower.. (i am not comparing him to those two - only in that atribute) - he also has a bit of flair, but he is raw

lallana is improving - his numbers show that - he also barely does much wrong - he can dribble - he can pass, he cannot killer passs and he is a bit too slow - he certainly does not have that starting of pace that is utilsed by Delle Alli anyway.

Lallana is a poor mans fit wilshire imo.

anyway Le tissier is a sad story - a player that would get into most teams in the world at the time - bar england - showing how far behind we were in regards to mentality.

We wanted lumps over players that could play the game...
