If she was a high priority she should have gotten a movie. Given we have gotten Bp,Ant Man,Spiderman,Dr Strange and Carol Danvars next year,it seems like a crash grab to go back to a character that s done her thing already. Nobody wants a generic spy movie. We haven't seen a Black Widow movie yet because they weren't sure where it would fit into the release schedule for the MCU from start to now or what it could have done that would have much lead in to other films. Every MCU movie right up to Infinity War has something that plays a role later down the road, such as the infinity gems, introductions of characters, introduction to other fantastical elements, to establishment of relationships, etc. that's why the hashtag is #itsallconnected. The post credit scenes of Ant-Man and the Wasp and the Captain Marvel movie definitely are going to play major factors in Avengers 4, so its necessary to have had those movies before its release. After Avengers 4, which is intended to be something of an "end", the direction to where they'll go next is uncertain, I figure they'll make more stand alone products which is all fine for Black Widow, especially considering its planned to be an origin story. "it seems like a cash grab" More or less than that Venom movie you're looking forward to which has no business to exist ( No Spidey, no Daily Bugle, not a sign of NYC) other than to retain character rights and fool the consumer into believing its something of an MCU movie just to make some of that Disney money? "Nobody wants a generic spy movie." Hmmmm, that new Mission: Impossible movie is expected to make huge bank at the box office, so you were saying? Fixed.
