Those are simple cases of operator error. As explained in the video, they were "mismatching the lithium batteries to the chargers." You may as well blame Bic for a cigarette lighter exploding after someone sets it on a stove top. There may be a few isolated incidents of a vaping device exploding even when used properly, but given the millions upon millions that don't, the risk is just as I said it was: infinitesimally low. Any way you slice it, vaping is still safer than smoking. Much, MUCH safer.
