Cool, like Deb said this should be a positive thing for young transgender people out there, but I will say I doubt quality will mean shit, Deb you pointed it out last year I think how much the Alex/Maggie story impacted atleast one young girl, and that storyline was handled with the grace and style of a wet fart after a curry, so long as ultimately the character is done in a positive light quality will likely not be an issue. despite my sarcastic shitheadedry im glad Supergirl is going to do this, it can only be a positive thing imo, not only for having the character but for who they got to play them, well done CW. Yeah. Quality doesn't always mean everything 'cause one person's version of a quality storyline could be seen as garbage to many others and there were a lot of fans of Alex and Maggie and they not only impacted that one young girl I posted an article about but a lot of other teenage girls who shared similar stories. While I wasn't personally a big fan of the Alex and Maggie pairing I thought it was great we had a lesbian couple in the show and I can see why it was so impactful on them 'cause we didn't have representation like that here when we were kids and we saw more people using the word 'dyke' as an insult to single hetero female characters in movies 'cause they didn't have boyfriends than positive representations of lesbian characters. I am hoping they do justice with this though and am happy for the transgender people who watch 'Supergirl.'
