Cool, like Deb said this should be a positive thing for young transgender people out there, but I will say I doubt quality will mean shit, Deb you pointed it out last year I think how much the Alex/Maggie story impacted atleast one young girl, and that storyline was handled with the grace and style of a wet fart after a curry, so long as ultimately the character is done in a positive light quality will likely not be an issue.despite my sarcastic shitheadedry im glad Supergirl is going to do this, it can only be a positive thing imo, not only for having the character but for who they got to play them, well done CW.

I think every generation needs it is the thing and not needs just gay or lesbian, bi or what have you characters but those coming out stories, we had them in the 90's with shows like Dawnsons Creek, Buffy and that but that was 20 years ago, I think what some of us don't think about is not only should gay characters be on shows but especially if your audience skews younger you need coming out stories, having gay characters is great but I don't know how well just having already established gay men or lesbian ladies helps with people who have yet to come to term with who they are.
So long as they don't make a joke out of the character I think it will be fine, just don't expect high calibre storytelling, this is Supergirl afterall.
