But, the depths of the ocean are dark and murky. The brighter tone set by Wan underscores a more fantasy tone than one rooted in science fiction. There's nothing wrong with that of course; it's a stylistic choice. I was just hoping for something a bit more credible and less fantastic. To us it is, but not to a person that is from there. Like the video footage of him in the murky water is right because it's not from his point of view. |
