I'll bet that if they did meet with him it would be more about figuring out what his contractual obligations are to GOTG V3.
After all, he did write the script, and no matter whether or not they fired him, they HAVE to pay him for that work, AND use him for re-writes, if that's what's in the contract. As far as GOTG V3 is concerned he kinda still does work with them.
I wish they would re-hire him. But I don't think they will. Disney would have to swallow A LOT of humble pie and eat A LOT of crow to do that, and I don't think its in them. A Humble Pie and Crow feast cant possibly taste any good.
