For whatever reason, during the ape-human evolution, most hair has been eliminated from the human body. There must be an evolutionary reason that mankind still has pubic hair down there, but I have no idea why. My theory is that body hair helps avoid chaffing from skin on skin contact, so you have it concentrated in areas that are prone to skin on skin contact like the groin and armpits.
