...a ditty from boot camp, circa 1969:
"This is my rifle and this is my gun. This is for killing and this is for fun."
If a boot camp recruit referred to his rifle as a "gun", all troops were punished by repeating this ditty while holding their crotch in the left hand and their rifle in the right hand. Needless to say, the troop who made this indiscretion never did it again.
