Pros: First major sci-fi movie to use time-relativity as a major plot point
Overall good use of hard sci-fi concepts
Cons: Completely unbelievable that NASA turns over their critical project mission to some guy who just stumbles across it
Final scene tries to explain in words what '2001" was able to convey better with just images
clunky robot design
too much standard Hollywood sentimentality injected
I totally guessed the twist
