I actually have felt that way about Domnhall Gleason. He's such a baby face good boy in his other work (Ex Machina, About Time, that Black Mirror episode) that he feels like an entirely different actor as Hux. Guess he's good. I think he is terrible in The Force Awakens, but pretty good in TLJ. There is a dark humor to the way he plays it in the latter and he just became better at selling it in the that movie. He is now typecast a lot as very uptight and unlikable characters, which is too bad.
