I absolutely love birds. I have bird feeders outside year-round, and one of my favourite birds is the Barn Swallow (my username is even the latin name for the Barn Swallow 
) .

I'm not particularly fond of the concept of caged birds (they should be flying free, as nature intended), but it so happens I've ended up with a cockatoo in my possession. Over the years I've taken on quite a few unwanted animals from owners who didn't want or couldn't care for them anymore. She's very cuddly, and constantly up to mischief. She's a handful, but she's a lot of fun, too.
