I only really agree with dumping someone like Malan if there is someone knocking the door down. There isn't. You're just bringing in someone else who will contribute the same, if not less than, the man they dropped and in 9 or 10 months he's back in and you create a merry go round. Malan hasn't produced for five tests now, outside of 2 innings How long does he merit a place when he's not getting the job done? I agree about the merry go round and lack of options, but how long does a top order batsman get carte blanche in your book?
