Seriously Bat, from the moment I laid eyes on Sam Jackson, I said to myself, this awesome dude's bound to be a star. Same with Steve Buscemi, John Turturro, Giancarlo Esposito ... all of whom turned out to know each other, but those guys kind of remained character stars a la Charles Durning. Jackson's career went through the roof when he was contracted by Marvel Comics to be Nick Fury. I remember seeing him at the cinema looking for his arm in 'Jurassic Park' (1993) back when he was still flying under he radar!
