It depends on how much Of an impact the star has on the film. I didn't hate Emma as Belle but I do think the original Belle was far better. The production overall is great though and so their parts, despite being the leads, were superseded by the overall production. Yeees the production and the supporting cast was so good that I don't mind not liking the main couple and besides so beauty and the beast had a great story. So the good balances the bad and still makes a very fun flick. If you keep faithful to the cartoon or hell even the original tale there is not much to loose. It's almost a no brainer of a good film. I even liked very much the one with Vincent Cassel and Lea Seydux and the budget was quite limited. Beauty and the beast is one of the greatest fairytales and put that with the Disney songs by Alan Menken and you have a Winner. I most say with a whole different story I enjoyed Mamma Mia because of the great songs and the singing was horrible. So im a sucker of a musical with catchy tunes Another one in that style was Rock of Ages. In that one the singing was good but the story was on the level of the worst Glee episodes and still enjoyed it because I liked the songs.
