Since Gunn is Gone For Good Now, Shouldn't Feige Make A Statement ?

When Gunn wrote those online it was a slightly different time for the internet, back then almost everybody was making very dark attempts at humor using very inappropriate situations and few really cared - this was especially true for Twitter. The environment is different today because everybody is very political correct and mob mentality rules the entire outlook. Was it wrong to write them? Yes. Were a lot of people doing it and getting off without any consequences? Yes. And that influences. 

There is zero evidence James Gunn is what you describe him as, no allegations have been made and there have been no rumors circulating around him for years that suggests he'd be anything of the sort. He's not a squeaky clean individual but we don't have enough evidence to really begin to label him as anything - his comments were attempts at shock humor, the party he was at was very darkly comedically themed. 

But what's done is done, he's been fired and won't be helming Guardians 3, which no they will NOT be cancelling.
