A Castiel show wouldn't really work as a prequel anyway given how they set it up early on that Angels prior to S4 didn't visit earth much, a Trickster prequel however that could work, we know he had been on earth for a few millennia and under the same persona so that could be fun plus that character was always a blast for me.
Crowley spin off could work as Mark Sheppard may be open to coming back if he were the star of his own show, plus it's a way to explore the character more, as is Crowley kind of got to the point where it was what do you do with him now, he was still bad he just wasn't evil anymore, but he was never going to be a full good guy either, so it was to the point of what do you do with him?
OOH OOHH Rowena & Jody buddy cop series now THAT would be epic, I love Rowena plus her powers and Jody's job could make for some really fun stories, or Rowena & Mary again could be fun.
Bloodlines I think could have worked if it were A: not a Supernatural spin off, and B: The Originals wasn't also on at that time, as Bloodlines was too much like an Originals rip off with an "Original" in the cast and so far removed from what Supernatural had set up as plausible in that universe to work, like in a world where Hunters don't revisit the same towns they work incase they blow their cover the idea that monster mob families are vying over Chicago and have been for decades seems stupid, now had they also set it up that Chicago, NY, LA other major cities actually have this sort of thing and they also act as exceptions to those hunter rules because hunters are also located in them or to oversee them somehow to keep it covered up and to contain the problems the monsters cause, then maybe it's passable as a part of that universe, but it wasn't in either case.
No. I don't think it would work either but it is something I have seen brought up by a lot of fans and sites talking about 'Supernatural' spinoffs and I think the problem with 'Supernatural' spinoffs is they made the same mistake as 'Smallville' and left them too long and I could have seen a few characters having their own spinoff shows around the time of Season 5 and 6 but with the show being up to Season 14 this year they have probably left it too long and starting any shows that continue on from 'Supernatural' now will have the same problem you have said 'Arrow' would have had if they had gone with the original Green Arrow spinoff with Justin Hartley being tied down to the history of a 14 Season long TV show. With 'Wayward Daughters' not going through now I think they might drop any plans they had for other spinoff shows now 'cause they seemed very confident that show was going to go through and a lot of the actors were surprised it didn't. They have said a lot of the events that were lined up for the 'Wayward Daughters' show are going to be played out in 'Supernatural' this season and Claire, Alex and Jody will be appearing a lot more so we will still get to see what that show would have been like which has pleased a lot of fans and made others angry who didn't want the 'Wayward Daughters' show.
I agree with you about 'Bloodlines' and I haven't watched 'The Originals' before so I don't know what that was like but I did hear some other people say it was similar. My main problem with the episode was the lack of Sam and Dean and having it put in between such an important part of the show and I wanted to skip it and go to the next episode but couldn't.
