About the gloves, they were his gloves, you can see him wearing them here. It's been said that Cochrane tore the lining in the gloves so they would be hard to put on. They did look like they fit to me though

There are many reasons why people said the gloves didn't fit: he was wearing latex, blood was all over it and changed the texture, they were repeatedly frozen and unfrozen, Simpson's agent at the time claims he told OJ to stop taking his arthritis medication for a few weeks so that his hands would become inflamed.

It was just a stupid move where so many things could go wrong, and the prosecution made a crucial error.
