He mentions that yeah he drank every last drop & knew ppl who smoked every tree... but they weren't rapping about that backed by disco beats as he puts recent hip hop.
Having thought about it after a couple days, I realize nowadays the audience & even many stars of the genre are soo much more widely diverse & accepting.
Not sure many soccer moms were listening to Public Enemy with their girls on the way to school in the 1980's.
Times change I suppose. I think he just wishes more hip hop artists would produce their thoughts, rather than what might sell best. Then again, maybe many rappers in 2018 aren't very thoughtful at all so what's the point?
I nearly spat up when he put Drake in the capable of change list or whatever. lols, all Drake wants is everything for him & nothing for anyone else. Bad music carpet bombing the masses leaving the scraps of space for others.
