Azerbaijan seemed to be the first aggressor against Armenia in the Nagorno-Karabakh War. But it eventually lost far more casualties and had to agree for ceasefire. Correct me Prog if I am wrong. You've probably seen both sides argue each was to blame, but Azerbaijan certainly exacerbated things in the time leading up to the conflict and beyond. The ceasefire left Armenia coming out best. Azerbaijan had over 3 times the troop casualties Armenia suffered. I wonder how Armenians fared so relatively well when they were significantly outnumbered both in size of troops and weapons. Did Armenia had locational advantage? |
