Even if you believe Satan as more worthy of respect or worship it is in one way giving recognition to Abrahamic religions. I guess many people who call themselves Satanists are not really serious but still it is much better to not give any sort of recognition to 'demons' and 'satans' because such entities do no exist. I'd imagine you'd actually be very hard pressed to find any legitimate theistic Satanists. Pretty sure most "satanists" are Laveyan types, more of a symbolic gesture against Christianity than a legitamte worship (or even belief) of Satan. I'm not sure why anyone would legtitametly worship Satan, by proxy you would also have to believe in Hell, which is where you would be going if you're going to believe in such a thing. |
