Well I don't know if Brainiac SHOULD have been anything. But it certainly would have been better than Steppenwolf!
In the comics Steppenwolf is a general in charge of Darkseids armies. So when they announced Steppenwolf I thought okay, they're gonna do him as a precursor to Darkseid.
Well we all saw how that turned out.
It'd have been less insulting if we at least saw Darkseid or if there was more information given about Steppenwolf's role in the scheme of things like perhaps tying in with the Knightmare sequence. But nope, nothing. Ziltch. Yeah, I also would have liked, even expected, some kind of tie to the Knightmare BvS sequence. I had also hoped there might be some final scene showing Apokolips or something...? |
