The main problem with homophobia and transphobia in my opinion is we have far less homophobes and transphobes than we had before but the ones that we have remaining have become more vocal than they were before and are using the anonymity of the internet to air their hate everywhere and attack us and it is sadly the same with racists online and some comment sections of articles about movies with people of colour as leads look like they are a KKK meeting with the amount of hate they are writing.

I think the issue is people just don't get things for the most part unless they have experienced it, and they assume progress means we fixed everything, and we haven't, equality isn't a quick fix it's an ongoing process, were also not so far removed from the old guard to where those old fashioned and idiotic thinking people are no longer around.

Also the idea that I as a straight guy because I don't see the flagrant homophobia or transphobia shown to people of the LGBT community by admittedly a now sizeably smaller group of intolerant fuck knuckles is silly, because I am not part of either of those communities, but just because I don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't happen, also just because it happens less doesn't mean it's gone away entirely, and it's a case of for some people they can go through life being gay, lesbian or transgender and not have to endure that crap, but there are other people who all they get is bombarded with that shit, which as is sadly clear has been the case for you, even though that's just not fair on a karma level because you are such a nice person.

God people being fuckheads really pisses me off.

Thank you and I agree Dazz and the same can be said about a number of people regarding other issues but I find most decent people put themselves in another person’s shoes and try to understand what they have gone through before saying that could possibly come across as cruel and insensitive while others will just hate and discriminate against anybody who is different than them ‘cause they enjoy doing it and do it for their own pleasure and that is where the homophobes and transphobes come in and a lot of them admit they like bullying us online and think we deserve it. I mean on the old ‘Supergirl’ IMDB board we had some members saying we should kill ourselves ‘cause we disgust them and they aren’t just intolerant but are full of hate and they make you wonder what kind of upbringing these people have had to hate us that much and who else they hate 'cause a lot of homophobes are also sexist, racist and prejudice against people with disabilities and I think they hate everybody but see us as easier targets for their hate.

What is pathetic is they are jealous there are people who support us and acknowledge the things that we have faced in the past which is why they are now trying to say we have always had it easier than everybody else and we just made up decades of discrimination to take away their religious freedoms.
