Yeah as she was better in the 2nd movie which makes it more believable because in the first movie she came across more of a average person where as in the 2nd movie she was hardened which really suits the character.

That pretty much sums up my thoughts.

like I think Hamilton topped Jamie Lee Curtis because of T2 alone (like tops anything Jamie Lee has done) but outside of that role Curtis is generally better.

given the exact wording in topic (i.e. "Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor) vs Jamie Lee Curtis (Laurie Strode)"), it seems to me more of a Terminator vs Halloween thing and in this regard it's pretty clear cut Terminator in my book. hence, Linda Hamilton.

because it specifically says, "Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor) vs Jamie Lee Curtis (Laurie Strode)" ; which seems to make it more about the movies/character more than the actresses straight up in general. so that's why I voted for Linda Hamilton because Sarah Connor easily tops Laurie Strode if you ask me as when it comes to tough female characters, I would have to assume Sarah Connor in T2 is among the top choices in general.
