I don't blame you for posting it here, threads over on FB tend to sink beneath all the gif threads they have at any given point. I agree about keeping these boards alive with a variety of threads. I would like to make more of them, sometimes I'm busy, other times I have nothing to post about. Poor Duchovny, we've been hijacking his thread! I first encountered him (her?) on the original Twin Peaks, and shortly after, on The X-Files, which quickly became my favorite show at that time. It helped spawn all the other sci-fi/horror shows that followed. He's had a varied movie career, so far I've seen: Working Girl Denial Bad Influence Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead The Rapture Ruby Beethoven Chaplin Kalifornia Playing God The X-Files Return to Me Evolution Zoolander Full Frontal Connie & Carla House of D Trust the Man Things We Lost in the Fire The X-Files: I Want To Believe Goats
That's the major issue; I love FG and appreciate many of the good folks who mainly post there, but I've posted things there that have sunk like a stone. Here, topics tend to stay on the front page for maybe 24 hours, so there's more time for people to reply if they so desire.
There's a few there I need to see, notably 'Connie And Carla' (2004) and 'Goats' (2012). I've long been fascinated how Duchovny will make a film or tv show with an indie/art director like Henry Jaglom, David Lynch or Steven Soderbergh, then do something family-orientated or totally mainstream. He's an interesting guy.
I like all 3 of his tv shows and I'm not a big tv guy in general. 'Twin Peaks' is probably my all-time favourite show - tied with 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' - I've always enjoyed 'The X-Files' and I've recently been watching 'Californication' which I've enjoyed immensely (short episodes, not at all what I was expecting).
