No DC-Fan that's when you seed them, 1 starts by facing number 16, 2 vs. 15 and so on, but in a randomly selected bracket they fall where they may, same as group stages in football, sometimes the favourites of the tournament will be put in the same groups which can lead to a favourite being taken out of a world cup if they face a tough group going in.
This wasn't a seeded tournament it was a randomly selected one, most of the films were selected randomly, the 4 seeded films were TDK, Spidey-2, Logan & Avengers which were split, so 2 on each side of the brackets, the rest is random, changing it up now because 2 MCU movies made it to the finals is called cheating, you half baked spud.
