It was okay but predictable - but I remember thinking: This is bullshit. High schools were integrated in the early 1960's, not '71. I WAS IN high school in the early 70's and I didn't remember any racial stuff going on. There was some of course, but not like the movie portrayed it. Sure enough, I looked into the "true story" claim and I was right - it was all made-up Disney bullshit. They took the very basics of truth - there really was a high school team that went undefeated in '71 named the Titans - and made up a racial morality tale that never happened. A bit more jaded, a bit wiser. Integration started in some places during the 40s and 50s. The 60s is where everywhere that didn't wanna budge was forced to
