your understanding is wrong, Merh. The algorithm and balance mechanism of IMDb prevents just that.

In fact you need an account for a certain time and must have rendered votes for certain periods before your vote is even considered. Zero counts respectively 1-2 votes or very high votes have less weights than 4-8 star votes. It's similar on RT.

And that is why the posters on TDKR board were always finding old socks & posting.

Because I spent a decent amount of time there.
