mecano04I think I get the gist of what your saying also, I don't really look at movies as being the smart/edgy stuff as I look at them in terms of working or not, entertaining (and the like) or not which comes back to some emotional response for me when I break down movies to their core as the better/stronger the emotional response I get from watching it, the higher the score etc. but anyways... but I guess given the video clip you posted compared to say some dance scenes in La La Land... they probably ain't all that different besides the setting which in this regard I tend to prefer the way La La Land looks as it helps the mood etc. but at the same time I guess some people might prefer that old days style like what you linked to. with that said... I can't really say I have seen much in the old days regard as about the only movie that comes to mind that's got that sort of stuff in it from what I recall is... Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953) which I thought was average overall. I gave that a 5/10. if you care, here is a little article on La La Lands ending titled... "'La La Land’ Producer, Director Defend Ending as an Alternative to the Hollywood Fairy Tale"... www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/la-la-land-ending-meaning-explained-978105
