I agree with you about 'Bloodlines' and I haven't watched 'The Originals' before so I don't know what that was like but I did hear some other people say it was similar. My main problem with the episode was the lack of Sam and Dean and having it put in between such an important part of the show and I wanted to skip it and go to the next episode but couldn't.

Yeah at this point I think the only way a Supernatural spin off works is once Supernatural ends, or is a limited series, which truth be told could be cool, like each year we get a different spin off like a season of Jody & Mary, then a season of Cas & Claire, then a prequel season of Crowley pre season 4, make an anthology spin off so you can focus on specific problems, but also you can tie back to the main show by having Sam & Dean pop in at the start or end of each season and the stars of each spun off season popping into Supernatural to help out and allude to their own show.
And yeah the lack of the Winchesters was a big mistake, that's been an issue with the show since the start, the Supernatural fans are fans of Supernatural primarily because of them, they are the life blood of the show, it's why the mainstay additional cast have always worked because they weren't brought in like they were muscling the boys out of the episodes, Bobby doesn't appear until the end of S1 and is mostly kept as simply additional to their stories for quite a while before getting his own episodes, Cas was introduced but planned to be killed off so they didn't delve into him too far until the fans already fell for him, same with Crowley, I think the same for Jody also, it's the ones who get brought in meant to be on par with the guys and get kind of shoe horned into things that get a backlash and then cut, which is crappy because I always loved Jo & Ellen, hell I dug Ash if I'm being honest, but it's the flaw of a show like this that is set up around a brotherly bond like the Winchester's that's what people tune in for so anything that gets in the way of that people get pissy about.
I like your idea about a different spinoff for every season after ‘Supernatural’ is finished and I think a lot of fans would be open to watching that and the ‘Wayward Daughters’ spinoff show may have had a better chance if they had held it off until after the show was over. From what I have read Jared and Jensen have said they are open to continuing doing ‘Supernatural’ until Season 15 and then they will make a decision if they will keep doing it or not and Jared has suggested keeping the show alive after it ends by having 2 or 3 TV movies every year and if the CW Network were to have pin off shows like the ones you suggested they could tie them onto the 2 or 3 TV movies they make and perhaps even have Sam and Dean appear in a few episodes if they are still open to guest appearing on a show.
A prequel show of Crowley would be interesting but they might have to use a different actor just like we were discussing with Castiel and Misha Collins and I am not sure how long Crowley had that body but it was obviously not his original one since Rowena (his Mum) didn’t recognise him when she saw him for the first time and Mark Sheppard isn’t getting any younger.
I am still surprised Crowley is no longer in the show ‘cause I thought he would have stayed in it until the show and I think he would have made it to the end but Mark chose to leave. I heard there were plans to have him appear in the Alternate Universe as a human hero but I am not sure if that is still happening now ‘cause Michael is in our universe now and Alternate Bobby and Charlie might be stuck here too which is a convenient way to bring the actors back to the show after killing them off.
I don’t know if you have re-watched the earlier seasons for a while but the weird thing about Bobby is when he was first brought into the show they didn’t seem to be that close to him and he was more like a distant friend of their Father’s and over the next few seasons that changed completely and they were always talking about how he was an Uncle and a Dad to them and we heard about all these things they did with Bobby before the show started and it was like they forgot about how they were like with him when he first joined the show and there was all this additional history that wasn't there before.
