Dr. Zhivago is a well regarded film that didn't click with me. Would I appreciate it more if I put aside the hype about it being one of the most romantic films of all time?
Putting aside hype and expectations usually helps any film.
I hated The English Patient the first time and could not understand the fuss about how great it is. Second viewing. It's not GREAT but I liked it.
Have you watched Zhivago more than once yet ?
