What is supposed to be done with Darkseid at this point?

I think they should leave Darkseid for a Superman movie like 'Man of Steel 3' after they have had Braniac and use Imperiex as the main villain for a 'Justice League 2' movie. Using Darkseid at this point would be too similar to what Marvel have done with Thanos and Imperiex is far more powerful and wants to wipe out the entire universe including every single living creature on it until it no longer exists and has the power to do it. In the comic books the superheroes had to team up with Lex Luthor, Braniac, Doomsday and Darkseid to defeat Imperiex 'cause they didn't want the universe to be wiped from existence.
