How it's impossible to recast purely cinematic icons

While I have no need for reboots, The thread is flawed by the notion that the reason entirely rests on the skills of the actor who likely is not the only reason the character is great.

I would have probably enjoyed Raiders if Tom Selleck had gotten the role.

Fandom of a particular actor follows the performance rather than precedes it.
