Space 1999

I loved that show when I was a kid! Alas, it really hasn't aged all that well.

Fun fact - did you know that Space 1999 started out as a sequel to the series UFO? The sequel would have been set 20 years or so after the original show and the moonbase, Eagles, and all that stuff was the next generation of the alien defence tech in UFO.

When the idea of a sequel series fell through Anderson came up with a new story to use all the models and stuff in, and that's how Space 1999 was born.
