Smokey and the Bandit was the first movie I saw of him, in theater too. The movie featured a hot topless Sally Field. Not in any version of the movie I have ever seen... (Broadcast, Cable, DVD...) I'd remember that! The scene must have been removed from all cuts after the original theater showings... Which I never saw. I was pretty pissed that the DVD didn't include the full Snowman/Fred scene where Fred goes for a swim, that was featured in the TV Cut.. You know what. You are probably right. A little search showed that the scene I remembered was from Stay Hungry. It is funny that I have no recollection of seeing that film. Being that was the only time I saw Smokey and the Bandit and it was in a Grindhouse type of theater, Stay Hungry may have been a second feature. Thanks for pointing it out. |
