I don't think that Black Panther deserved an Oscar nomination. I don't care who gets Oscars. I just want BP to get a nomination to see DC-Fan's spin on it. Separately, I also want to see the racists/alt-rights heads explode as they rant online. It will also be anyone who appreciates quality cinema who will be disgusted with a BP Oscar. I would agree if Oscars actually stood for anything. It has always been a big Hollywood circle jerk. The Academy's opinion means about as much to me as Hobo Jim's who lives on the streets opinion on a good meal. Why should anybody care what other's opinion on Quality Cinema. The Quality of something has fuck all to do what others say. Your opinion is the only one that matters, why must we validate it? Edit: Also I'm sure there will be people who aren't racists or alt-right that bitch about it getting nominated. There will be closeted racists that try to hide the fact the reason they hate, but those 2 I won't care about. There will be the ones that can't hide it and those will be the ones I want to see rant at it. |
