People argued that moonlight only won because it was about homosexuality featuring a black cast. But its actually a gripping drama with great performances and atleast deserved to be in the 10 nominated positions. Its clear that it was Oscar worthy. Black panther is not worthy. It doesnt dig deep into the politics or themes the story is trying to convey. The only "deep" scene is the round table meeting scene where the elders are discussing what should be done with Killmonger. The rest of the film is filled with junk CGI fights and simple back and forth between bad guys and good guys.

True but Disney should have just still campaigned normally like wonder woman and WB did, they disgraced themselves by trying to create a new category to ensure the award recognition.

They also snagged KATHLEEN KENNEDY a lifetime achievement award for happening to be in the room when a bunch of other great directors and creators happened to make some great movies she had absolutely nothing to do with, so... they're on a roll?
