I agree. As an Athiest, I would not expect you to be insulted or offended by the constant exclamation of, "Oh my God !!!" But although it is annoying, I think you make a good point by saying it shows a lack of vocabulary or, of ways to express oneself. To me someone who says the same thing over and over again (especially if it's an exclamation that they aren't using for emphasis, but just as a filler word) because they can't think of anything else to say in its place probably has a low IQ, or at the very least is poor at communicating their thoughts. I agree. For example, teenagers do this a lot just to try and fit in with the trendy crowd and cool kids. And to try to impress others. |
