I agree with you about Dalton, he would have made a fine Bond but that script for Licence to Kill played out like an episode of Miami Vice. (Which I really liked, but for what it was...I don't want 007 playing Sonny Crockett). Honestly, I for one think I like it so much because I like Dalton’s Bond and I like how much the filmmakers borrowed from Fleming’s Live and Let Die (which is nothing like its film adaptation). SkyfallActually Salzmank, I re-watched of all the Bond movies a couple of years ago once I completed my Bluray library (I know, I'm a geek), and Licence to Kill has aged fairly well; at one point it would have been in my bottom five. Still not crazy about the story though, it just felt too "small-scale" for 007. |
