I agree with you about Dalton, he would have made a fine Bond but that script for Licence to Kill played out like an episode of Miami Vice. (Which I really liked, but for what it was...I don't want 007 playing Sonny Crockett). Honestly, I for one think I like it so much because I like Dalton’s Bond and I like how much the filmmakers borrowed from Fleming’s Live and Let Die (which is nothing like its film adaptation). Still not crazy about the story though, it just felt too "small-scale" for 007.
