So I guess I’m not the best judge of these movies. But, considering that I had absolutely no context for this one, I enjoyed it a lot. Posted a review somewhere around here…here. I’m considering seeing the first one, at least, to get a grip on ’em. By the way, I’ve got absolutely no real-life connection with the real Ed and Lorraine Warren, but I did once upon a time write an article for a local newspaper about a place they’d investigated. Unfortunately, my research pretty much debunked all the stories for why the apparent ghostly occurrences were happening.
The first Annabelle wasn't up to its fullest potential and is pretty lackluster, but the prequel is pretty good and definitely better.
BTW, neither do I have any real-life connection to the Warrens, but their history does seem fascinating and well worth the films based on them.
