I hope the Chargers fail dismally in LA and go crawling back to SD with their tail between their legs. Probably won't happen. Douche isn't going to back down and fund his own stadium. I hope the Raiders fail in Vegas too. I just can't see how the Raiders are going to succeed in Vegas. 1: It's a vacation town and people are there to gamble and 2: Last I heard, there was an exodus as hunks of housing developments went up for sale as people were moving out. It just seems like such a bad location for a sports team beyond the novelty of it being Las Vegas.
Chargers will probably go back to San Diego in 20 years, or after the current owner croaks and the board of bean counters realizes it was a stupid move, going North to enemy territory with little fan base for a town that has a history of not giving a shit about football.
Raider fans seem pretty regional proof, & for 8 home dates, LA isn't that far away for a few home dates from which to travel. Their new stadium looks legit. As for San Diego, I'd be shocked if they didn't have an NFL team 20yrs from now. We're not talking some quaint traditional town that lost their team, it's a large Californian urban centre. It'll probably take 4-6yrs of doing poorly in the Rams new building for the Chargers to be on relocation watch.
