Interesting that you should pick those two to face off against each other. Is it because Wrath of Khan is widely (if not universally) considered the first "real" ST:TOS movie (as opposed to ST:The Motionless Picture 
), and First Contact is widely considered the first "real" ST:TNG movie?
Well, I have to admit the above was kind of stalling while I pondered the choices. If the competition is for best ST movie of the entire lot, then I would probably say:
The Voyage Home.
However, if the face-off is to determine the better of the two offered, I would have to say that while I think TWoK is probably the better-made movie (and arguably features the most iconic villain in the entire franchise), the one I personally LIKE better is probably FC.
