Phantasm -Its one of the few horror hits not to get a redo. Its pretty cool. There's a few cheesy bits, but its definitely one of a kind. The sequels are cool too. I have yet to see part 5, I feel, as a fan, I am being royally fucked over in the UK. What the hell? I can get Galaxy of Terror on some cheap ass label, but no Phantasm 5? The Keep -The best film not on DVD. It departs from the book a fair bit, but it is an unusual film, it has some great moments, and Tangerine Dream's score is awesome. The Last Starfighter -There have been proposed ideas, but nothing came about. But this is a damn good movie. Its obviously a riff on Star Wars and Tron, but it is never less than entertaining. Robert Preston steals scenes as galactic hustler Centauri, and Dan O'Herlihy is great as Grig. Phantasm would make an excellent remake. It is just full of potential.
Can't comment on the The Keep, only seen once on vhs in the 80's and at that time it didn't impress.
The Last Starfighter is an 80's gem and is only the fun and nostalgic flick that it is due to the era in which it was made. I wouldn't have any high hopes for a remake of this one.
