No, they were simply so large she couldn't fully retract them. She was not a cat to be trifled with. A black cat with a small white spot on her chest.
A friend of mine had her as a tiny kitten and couldn't decide whether to call her Satan or Squeezer. Once he abandoned her at our place, she became Rani.
In southeast Asia, it's a Hindu or Sanskrit feminine given name, which means "duchess," "queen", or "sovereign". The Rani was also a renegade Time Lady in DOCTOR WHO.
