As much as I like Ford, at the time the character could have easily been played by someone else. Who I don't know, but the story, sets, and director are the real stars of Blade Runner. IMO I agree, except that I think some of the other actors were irreplaceable. Can you imagine someone else as Roy Batty? Without Hauer, we don't even get that iconic tears in the rain line (which he improv'd). |
