Wait... You're talking about him seeing Mystique trying to turn him back. Why would that make him fear Magneto? He knew all this before that. He didn't develop a fear of Magneto. He said earlier that he was a loser. That's what happened. He chickened out. And the stupid thing is that the entire school knows that Magneto is his father, yet Magneto, somehow, doesn't find out? Nope.
