I love learning more about the world, other cultures, other peoples, other ways of doing things—I’m endlessly fascinated by it all. So, again, I find this thread rather ridiculous: no pronunciations really “drive me crazy.” To the contrary, they pique my interest.
Regional and cultural differences are different than just being stupid. There is nothing interesting about pronouncing caramel "carmal". That is just stupid.
There is a difference between regional and cultural differences --- and ignorance.
