Afghanistan showing they belong on this stage - need to improve their batting though. Anyways, Usman Qadir, son of Abdul, took 3/50 yesterday. For Western Australia. He’s stopped playing in Pakistan due to reverse nepotism by the looks of it. Again, only in Pakistan..... Rashid khan seems like 90s hard hitting tailenders. Not exactly an all-rounder yet but can play some good innings.
I think Afg can beat surprise any of the Asian or for that matter any of the international teams in subcontinent conditions on any given day. They can win a series against SL at least now when SL are in slump.
Khan’s batting is more arse than class. He’s in the Siddle and Lyon class of batsman. He knows he’s a tailender and doesn’t pretend otherwise. i reckon Afghanistan could beat Sri Lanka in a Test series. Since Mahela and Sanga retired, their batting has been terrible. And outside of Herath, their bowling lacks a little punch. I’d imagine though that Sri Lanka might actually produce green tops for Afghanistan and try and beat them with seamers...
